Jammu, Oct. 26 -- Around 35 shops were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Shiv Market, located here outside the Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
Officials reported that a major blaze erupted late Sunday night in the market, quickly engulfing around 30 to 35 shops within a short span of time.
A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
According to officials, alert shopkeepers raised the alarm and immediately called the Fire and Emergency Services. More than a dozen fire tenders, along with numerous firefighters, rushed to the spot.
