Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Friday stressed the need for continued operational readiness and a proactive approach to emerging security challenges while chairing a comprehensive security review and coordination meeting here.
The security review and coordination meeting was held on the eve of Independence Day, as security forces across Jammu and Kashmir have heightened vigil and strengthened security arrangements to ensure the peaceful conduct of celebrations on Saturday.
Army said during the meeting, senior officials and key stakeholders reviewed the existing security scenario and discussed the evolving security dynamics in the region.
