Srinagar, May 30 -- General Officer Commanding (GOC), White Knight Corps, Lt Gen PK Mishra, today said that the Indian Army remains the country's "first ray of hope" during war, anti-terror operations and natural disasters.

He was addressing the Attestation-cum-Passing Out Parade of the 7th batch of Agniveers at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre in Srinagar. The parade marked the successful completion of 24 weeks of rigorous military training by 538 Agniveer recruits.
