New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on Monday accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for a slew of capital acquisition proposals worth approximately Rs 1.10 lakh crore, covering the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, with around 98 per cent of the procurements to be sourced from Indian industry.
The approvals are aimed at strengthening the armed forces' operational preparedness and enhancing indigenous defence capabilities across land, maritime and aerial domains.
