Imphal, Sept. 20 -- Security forces and police recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, seized 2.3 kg of suspected amphetamine tablets and recovered two stolen vehicles in separate operations across Manipur, police said today.
In a joint operation conducted by Manipur Police and Assam Rifles today, a cache of weapons and other items were recovered from the Sajirok area under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district.
The recovered items included one CMG, five 9mm pistols, one PAG, eight single-barrel guns and one No. 36 HE hand grenade. The team also recovered 46 assorted live rounds, six TSMs and one Baofeng wireless handset. Further investigation into the recovery is underway.
