Imphal, Sept. 30 -- Joint teams of Manipur Police and security forces recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and explosive materials from Bishnupur and Chandel districts on Wednesday, while separate operations in Churachandpur and Lilong led to the arrest of two individuals in connection with alleged extortion and vehicle theft.
In Bishnupur district, based on intelligence inputs regarding a cache of weapons and other items in and around the Khordak area, a joint team of Bishnupur District Police and security forces conducted a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) at Khordak Patton, near the Forest Beat Office under Keibul Lamjao Police Station.
