Yerevan, Aug. 2 -- Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on Sunday reappointed Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister after his Civil Contract Party secured victory in the country's parliamentary elections in June.

In a decree published on the presidential website, Khachaturyan said, "Based on Article 149, Part 1 of the Constitution: Appoint Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister."Pashinyan's reappointment follows his party's election victory, which ensured its mandate to form the next government.
