Buenos Aires, July 14 -- Former Argentina goalkeeper Franco Armani bid farewell to River Plate after a trophy-laden spell with the Buenos Aires club.
The 39-year-old's contract expired on July 10 and he confirmed it would not be renewed.
"After eight-and-a-half unforgettable years, the time has come to say goodbye to the clubI dreamed of representing since I was a child," Armani told a news conference on Monday.
"I never imagined fate would give me such a beautiful story. Thank you for so much love."Armani won 10 trophies during his time with the Argentine top-flight side, including the 2018 Copa Libertadores, according to Xinhua.
