Chennai, June 29 -- Incumbent FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich will seek a third term as President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) to focus on providing more practical support for national federations, digital modernisation, youth development, stronger commercial partnerships and bringing FIDE closer to those it serves, with India's five-time World Champion Viswanathan Anand, whose four yer term as Deputy President of FIDE coming to a close, would continue to play a key role in Dvorkovich's team.
The presidential election will take place at the FIDE General Assembly, during the 46th Chess Olympiad in Uzbekistan, to be held in September this year.
