Agartala, Aug. 24 -- In a compassionate initiative, Assam Rifles successfully located and rescued a ten-year-old boy in Agartala who had been missing from Dimapur, Nagaland, facilitating his safe return home to his family.
The boy, identified as Joseph Mao, had last been seen in Neisatuo Colony, Dimapur, on August 22.
According to reports from the Assam Rifles, Rifleman Lawrance Hrangkhawl noticed the child alone on a running train in Tripura the following day, travelling without any adult supervision from Dimapur.
Joseph was found carrying a school bag and was unable to provide his exact home address or the reasons behind his train journey.
