Vijayawada, Aug. 3 -- Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has hailed the election victories of Jan Suraaj Party chief Prasant Kishore in Bankipur constituency and the Congress candidate in Datia in the by-elections.
In a statement here on Monday, APCC Vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji said that Prashant Kishore has defeated the BJP candidate in the by-election by over 18,000 votes in Bankipur constituency.
Mr. Shivaji congratulated Prashant Kishore for being elected to the Legislative Assembly from Bankipur constituency, where the BJP had won successively since 1995.
