Vijayawada, May 12 -- Terming the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 entrance examination as unfortunate, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has asked the Central government to take stringent action against those involved in the paper leak.
In a statement here on Tuesday, APCC Vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji said that around 27.5 lakh students appeared for the NEET 2026 examination, which was conducted across 561 cities in India and 14 places abroad, while nearly 58,000 to 70,000 students attended the exam in Andhra Pradesh alone. "Grave injustice was meted out to the students by the Centre by cancelling the NEET UG 2026," the Congress leader regretted.
