Vijayawada, Aug. 6 -- Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said the state government has sought from the National AYUSH mission Rs 257 crore to strengthen AYUSH healthcare services across the State.
The state-level AYUSH practitioners' conference was held here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said the government plans to spend Rs 210 crore to establish Ayurvedic colleges at Dharmavaram and Pithapuram (Rs 70 crore each) and a Unani college at Proddatur (Rs 70 crore), adding that Rs 90 crore will be allocated to set up six integrated AYUSH specialty hospitals (Rs 15 crore each) at Tirupati, Giddalur, Nandigama, Tenali, Tekkali and Rampachodavaram.
