Vijayawada, June 7 -- Andhra Pradesh's 108 Ambulance Emergency Service responded to 7,78,799 emergency calls between June 2025 and May 2026, providing critical medical assistance to accident victims, pregnant women and patients suffering from life-threatening conditions, according to a release issued on Sunday.

Operated in partnership with Bhavya Health Care, the service stabilized 1,13,764 road accident victims and transported 1,05,786 pregnant women to healthcare facilities during the period.

The release said emergency response teams also handled 97,118 cases of respiratory distress, 45,951 cardiac emergencies, 40,553 cases of unconsciousness, 34,532 abdominal pain cases, 32,858 poisoning incidents, 29,485 seizure episodes, 20,278 strok...
