Vijayawada, July 9 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar has said that the Government has procured 74 lakh Metric Tonnes (MT) of paddy from the farmers during the year 2025 and the paddy production this year likely to decline by 15 percent due to El Nino effect.
Addressing rice millers at a programme here on Thursday, Minister Manohar said that the government purchased Rs 31,000 crore worth paddy from over 11.53 lakh farmers and disbursed their money within 24 hours, adding that 95 percent of disbursements have been completed.
The Civil Supplies Minister noted that QR code is given to every bag of paddy in order to track and trace so that the farmers can know details of their paddy produce.
