Visakhapatnam, April 12 -- The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the deadline for availing relief on property tax arrears, offering taxpayers additional time to benefit from interest waiver and rebate schemes.
Ketan Garg, Commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), on Saturday said a 50 per cent waiver on interest for property tax arrears up to March 31, 2026 will now be available till April 30, 2026, provided dues are cleared in a lump sum.
He said the government has also announced a 5 per cent rebate for taxpayers who pay property tax and vacant land tax for the financial year 2026-27 on or before April 30, 2026.
