Nellore, March 30 -- Giving top priority to shelter for homeless people and with a 'Housing First' approach, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday launched housewarming ceremonies for 2,50,893 houses across the state by personally participating in the events at Naidupeta in Sullurpet constituency of Tirupati district.
The houses built under TIDCO and PMAY schemes were handed over simultaneously at more than 30 locations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that an additional 4.5 lakh houses will be constructed and handed over to the poor by the end of this year, stating that housewarming ceremonies will be conducted in June and September for upcoming beneficiaries.
