Vijayawada, Oct. 17 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu offered silk saree to Goddess Kanaka Durga atop Indrakeeladri on behalf of the State government, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari this evening.
Earlier the Temple authorities welcomed the Chief Minister couple with traditional honours.
Naidu and his wife Bhavaneswari entered the temple carrying pattu vastrams and saree for the Goddess.The Chief Minister reached the sanctum sanctorum amidst Vedic chants by the priests and offered special puja to Goddess Kanaka Durga.
Priests blessed the Chief Minister and his wife at the Ashirvachanam Mandapam.
However, darshan for ordinary devotees continued during the Chief Minister's visit without any interruption.
