Tirupati, Sept. 22 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu offered 'Jala Harathi' to the Handri-Neeva waters to provide irrigation water to the tail-end areas of Kuppam constituency and drinking water to the people.
The Chief Minister performed puja to the waters at the Kuppam Branch Canal of the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi project in Santhipuram mandal. Later, along with local public representatives and people, he offered flowers and offered 'Jala Harathi'.
Farmers and women standing on both sides of the Kuppam Branch Canal expressed their happiness and welcomed the Handri-Neeva waters with traditional 'Neerajanam'. They raised slogans hailing Handri-Neeva waters as a boon for Kuppam.
