Ongole, Aug. 31 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first phase of the PS Veligonda irrigation project by releasing water from a feeder canal and dedicated it to the people at Gantavanipalli village in Dornala mandal in the combined Prakasam district on Monday.
The Chief Minister released water by lifting the crest gates, prostrated to the water, performed pooja and jala harathi to the Krishna river. He also unveiled a pylon and switched on the button of the crest gates in the presence of local farmers.
