Vijayawada, Aug. 14 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu flagged off 58 newly inducted fire fighting vehicles on Friday on the Seed Access road. The fire tenders were purchased at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
The officials said that 25 advanced fire tenders worth Rs 18.68 crore had been made available to help in emergency situations in rural and forest areas to quickly reach disaster sites and provide immediate firefighting services.
The officials informed that 20 water bowsers worth Rs 14.79 crore had been acquired and kept ready to provide continuous water supply during major fires.
