Vijayawada, April 6 -- The Central government has sent another 1,90,890 doses of HPV vaccine to the state. The Centre had sent 1,90,800 doses of HPV vaccine to 14-15 year old girls last month as part of the first phase to prevent cervical cancer.
In addition to this, the Central government has sent another 1,90,890 doses of vaccine to Andhra Pradesh, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said in a press release on Monday.
The Health Minister stated that the authorities are taking steps to distribute this vaccine according to the number of girls in the district, adding that the vaccine will be distributed to girls continuously till next May.
