Vijayawada, Oct. 2 -- YSRCP NTR District Doctors Wing Chairman Dr. Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav today expressed deep concern over the repeated deaths of medical students in Andhra Pradesh and questioned the effectiveness and independence of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) as the regulator of affiliated medical institutions.

The recent deaths of Dr. P. Sailaja, final-year MD General Medicine, and Y. Sravani, first-year PG ENT, at Andhra Medical College within five days has once again exposed the serious pressures confronting medical students. Authorities have initiated inquiries into both cases.
