Vijayawada, June 19 -- The Opposition YSRCP has reiterated its demand for a CBI inquiry into the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna and the suicide of another youth, V Kranti Kumar in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, former Minister Ambati Rambabu alleged "the government is trying to hush-up the case by making the Krishna Lanka Circle Inspector a scapegoat, while all officials involved, from top to bottom, should be booked and investigated".
Rambabu said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's decision to call Sai Krishna's mother only after YSRCP Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit shows how complacent the government has been and how determined it is to suppress the truth.
