Vijayawada, June 26 -- Dr. Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav, Chairman of the YSRCP NTR District Doctors' Wing, on Friday accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of failure to take concrete steps to contain the drug menace and warned that Andhra Pradesh is rapidly slipping into a Punjab-like crisis of rampant addiction.

In a statement synchronising with the International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking, Dr. Yadav denounced the government's approach as "a hollow, multi-crore public relations exercise that prioritizes optics and political image management over the desperate, lived reality of the people".
