Vijayawada, Sept. 24 -- Five persons, including a woman and her son, were electrocuted in different incidents in the State on Thursday even as incessant rains wreaked havoc in coastal AP districts.
According to officials, a woman and her son were electrocuted when they were going to their agriculture field at Cheruvu Upparapalem village of Chebrolu mandal in Guntur district. They came into contact with a live electric wire which got snapped and fell across the road. The deceased died instantaneously and they were identified as Mudraboina Ramadevi (52) and her son M Venkateswarulu (30 of Bapatla mandal in Bapatla district. Bapatla MLA Narendra Varma expressed shock and grief over the death of mother and her son.
