Vijayawada, June 29 -- The alleged custodial death case in Andhra Pradesh took an interesting turn on Monday as two constables surrendered before the Assistant Commissioner of Police here, even as the High Court heard a habeas corpus petition filed by Vijayalakshmi, the mother of the missing youth.
The youth Gade Sai Krishna (25) involved in some criminal cases, was picked up for questioning on May 2 and later went missing from custody in the Krishna Lanka police station. The government constituted an SIT to investigate the case leading to the arrest of Circle Inspector SSVV Nagaraju who was sent to 14 days' judicial remand.
