Rajahmundry, June 3 -- A tiger strayed into a village in Devipatnam Mandal in Polavaram district of Andhra Pradesh during the early hours of Wednesday and killed as many as thirteen calves.

A forest department contingent comprising approximately 100 personnel arrived at the scene of the incident in Gangnam Palem village in a bid to capture the big cat.
