Anantapur, July 9 -- Former MLA and YSRCP leader Thopudurti Prakash Reddy was arrested by the police here today leading to tension as a large number of party activists staged a 'dharna' (sit in).
The police also held former MP Gorantla Madhav.
A political hostility has continued between the ruling Telugu Desam party Madakasira MLA MS Raju and YSRCP leader and Raptadu former MLA Thopudurti Prakash Reddy for a long time. They have hurled accusations and counter accusations for the last few months.
The TDP MLA dared to lay siege to the house of YSRCP former MLA Prakash Reddy, if he failed to prove his allegations. In the backdrop, Reddy convened YSRCP activists meeting and the police prevented the YSRCP activists from reaching the meeting. ...
