Bhimavaram, May 3 -- Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishna Raju laid the foundation stone for the construction of a controversial Sriram temple in Akividu in West Godavari district on Sunday.
The deputy Speaker acompanied by his wife, participated in the pooja and foundation stone laying programme attended by a large number of Telugu Desam, BJP, Jana Sena party activists and local people.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy Speaker vowed to complete the construction of Sriram temple expeditiously. He said that some people had approached the court to stop the construction of the Ram temple but overcoming all legal disputes, it would be constructed.
