Puttaparthi, April 20 -- The police in this high profile district of Andhra Pradesh have recovered 135 lost/stolen mobile phones worth over Rs 27 lakh.
Sri Satya Sai district SP S Satish Kumar told the media here on Monday that the police teams traced the mobile phones using advanced technology of the Cyber Crime System.
Some of the recovered phones were handed over to the victims at a programme held in the SP office here.
The SP asked people to lodge complaints about the lost/stolen mobile phones on the Central Equipment Identity Registration (CEIR) portal or at a nearby police station. Since the mobile phones have become an essential part of life, the SP asked people to be careful with their devices.
