Visakhapatnam, Oct. 30 -- Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has designated 45 executives as Departmental Safety Officers (DSOs) to strengthen its safety management system and promote a safety-conscious work culture across the plant.
The officers will be responsible for ensuring the use of personal protective equipment at workplaces, compliance with the Permit-to-Work system, conducting safety training, leading Safety, Health and Environment walks, encouraging near-miss reporting and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, the Plant said in a release on Friday.
