Kakinada, July 4 -- The district police using the CEIR (central equipment identity register) portal have been able to recover 602 mobile phones worth Rs.1.20 crores.
Announcing the major recovery of mobile phones to media persons at the district police office here today, District SP Bindu Madhav said that the IT Core team based on the complaints registered in the CEIR portal by application of technical knowledge such as IMEI tracking, GPS tracing, Digital Forensics, Cyber surveillance and Data analysis identified the mobile phones and recovered them.
He said so far in 12 installments a total of 4,603 mobile phones worth Rs.7.68 crores were recovered. If any one lost their mobile phones should lodge a complaint in `www.ceir.gov.in'. If the...
