Vijayawada, June 17 -- union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma has said the new terminal at the Gannavaram International airport, near here, is being constructed expeditiously.
Srinivasa Varma, accompanied by MP Keshineni Shivanath, inspected the ongoing works of the new terminal on Wednesday.
"The Gannavaram airport terminal is being constructed at a cost of Rs 824.28 crore on a total area of 51,315 square meters. The new terminal features a state-of-the-art design capable of handling an annual passenger volume of 3.5 million, with the remarkable capacity to seamlessly manage 1,200 passengers-comprising 800 domestic and 400 international travelers-simultaneously during peak hours," the union Min...
