Vijayawada, Oct. 21 -- Stone pelting and jostling at some centres marred the filing of nominations for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) which began in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
Ruling TDP and Opposition YSRCP activists clashed at several places and police detained some YSRCP leaders at their homes as a preventive measure. Police resorted to a mild lathicharge at a few places to disperse the clashing groups and quell stone pelting YSRCP workers.
