Eluru, July 9 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Water Resources Development Nimmala Ramanaidu released water from the Pattiseema Lift project to the Krishna delta by switching on the motors at Pattiseema village near the river Godavari on Wednesday.
The Minister performed traditional pooja and Jalaharati to the river Godavari water before switching on the motors. He released water to the Polavaram right main canal and the water would merge into the river Krishna at Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada after a couple of days.
