Kakinada, Aug. 7 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil supplies Nadendla Manohar today said that the state government was wedded to the welfare of the people and keeping in view the rising prices in the open market, a decision was taken to supply fine rice at Rs.52 kg as a market intervention measure.
Addressing a meeting after inaugurating the special rice sale counter at the Superbazar here, he said government was striving hard to implement the welfare schemes along with developmental activities despite facing financial crunch.
The Minister blamed the YSRCP for distorting the situation to suit their political ends and appealed to people not to give credence to their vicious propaganda.
