Kakinada, May 22 -- As a part of nationwide call, the Andhra Pradesh Medical and Sales Representatives union staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here today and set ablaze the GO copies of four Labour codes.
Addressing the protestors union state treasurer Dumpala Prasad has alleged that both the state and central governments brought the four labour codes in favour of managements and detrimental to the interests of the workers.
Hence, he demanded the Labour codes should be repealed and labour acts should be implemented effectively.
He alleged that by the four labour codes the government has brought the system of fixed term employment thereby depriving the workers of the job safety .
