Kakinada, May 23 -- : District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad on Saturday launched the "Operation Clean Sweep" programme at Gandhi Park and called upon people to actively participate in the city beautification drive.
The Collector, along with MLC Karri Padma Sri and Kakinada City MLA Kondababu, inaugurated the campaign aimed at maintaining cleanliness across municipalities, nagar panchayats and the Kakinada Municipal Corporation limits.
Speaking on the occasion, Harendhira Prasad said the programme would continue in campaign mode for the next four weeks and stressed that public participation was crucial for its success.
