Vijayawada, May 21 -- Intense heat wave conditions have claimed two lives so far in Andhra Pradesh so far.
The State has been reeling under scorching heat for the last three days. Highest temperature of 48.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Piduguralla in Guntur district, 47.6 degrees at Vetapalem in Bapatla district, and 47.6 degrees at Nandivada in Krishna district.
According to official sources, Darla Krishna (50) succumbed to the extreme heat in Jaggayyapet while Kunapareddy Ramakrishna (53) died at Vanakur in Krishna district while he was working at his field. Temperatures recorded above 44 C in over 200 mandals in the state during the last two days.
