Visakhapatnam, July 19 -- Four persons were killed and another was critically injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry on the Pendurthi-Anandapuram national highway at Anandapuram village of the district in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police said that the deceased belonged to Inumella village of Eepuru mandal of Palnadu district, and they were going to Tekkali in Srikakulam district to attend a function.
Their car collided with a lorry while overtaking another lorry, killing Palagani Ramanjaneyulu (51), Sk. Meeravali (56), Mandapati Bhavani Shankar (11) and car driver Sreenu (29). All the four deceased were killed instantaneously.
