Kurnool, May 31 -- The bodies of five youths who were drowned in the river Tungabhadra on Saturday evening at Mantralayam were retrieved from the river.
Inspector Dastagiri Babu said that a group of people attended a devotional programme held in a house of a person living at Mantralayam. After the programme, they went to the river to have a holy dip.
Five of them drowned. While four bodies were fished out on Saturday night, one body was retrieved from the river on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Vadla Satish (25), Raghavendra (25), Vadla Dhanu (22), Sandya (21) and Yuvan Chandra (5).
