Vijayawada, May 14 -- Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has condemned the reported attack on farmers in Mamillapalli village in Guntur district allegedly by TDP activists.
Responding to the affected farmers who met him at the YSRCP central office at Tadepalli, near here, on Thursday, Jagan Mohan Reddy described the attack on their godown as a "barbaric act" and strongly objected to the filing of atrocity cases against the victimised farmers by authorities, instead of taking action against the attackers.
Assuring full support to the affected families, he said the YSRCP Legal Cell would extend all necessary legal assistance and that the party would stand firmly with the farmers in their fight for justice.
