Visakhapatnam, July 26 -- The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) today paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil War by conducting a wreath-laying ceremony at the iconic 'Victory at Sea War Memorial' on RK Beach here on the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The ceremony was led by Vice Admiral Susheel Menon, Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command, who laid a floral wreath at the memorial in honour of the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Vijay.
Representing the other two services, Colonel V. Samuel Prakash of the Army and Group Captain P. Shyam Kumar of the Indian Air Force also paid homage to the fallen heroes.
