Vizianagaram, Aug. 23 -- A police constable was killed and a sub-inspector and driver were injured after their jeep rammed a roadside tree at Kondakarakam village today.
Police said that sub-inspector Ashok Kumar, Constables Venkata Ramana and Nagendra were going to Kondakarakam village to investigate a case. The driver of the vehicle lost control over it, resulting in it veering off the road and ramming a roadside tree.
Constable Venkata Ramana (49) was killed while sub-inspector Ashok Kumar, constable Nagendra and jeep driver Rajababu were injured in the accident. The injured police personnel were admitted to a hospital.
