Vijayawada, July 22 -- In protest against the Congress leaders staging a dharna outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in New Delhi, a large number of BJP workers held a counter dharna in front of the Congress office, Andhra Ratna bhavan, here on Wednesday.
Led by State party president PVN Madhav, they took out a rally holding flexi banners to the Congress office. They staged a dharna raising slogans against the Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi.
At the same time, Congress activists raised slogans against the BJP from the Congress office. The police closed the main gate of the Congress party to avoid a clash between the activists. The BJP activists squatted on the road for sometime.
