Kakinada, Oct. 22 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today ridiculed the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leadership for resorting to alleged diversionary tactics, accusing the opposition of manufacturing claims of nomination obstruction to evoke public sympathy ahead of the local body polls.
Addressing a press conference here, BJP Kakinada district president Bikkina Visweswerarao and senior leader Duvvuri Subrahmanyam asserted that voters across the state are eager to hand the YSRCP a decisive electoral defeat.
"No one is prepared to give undue publicity or importance to the YSRCP. Claiming that their candidates are being prevented from filing nominations is nothing but a desperate bid to gain public sympathy," the BJP leaders remarked.
