Vontimitta (Andhra Pradesh), March 26 -- Ankurarpanam for the annual Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa District, was performed ceremoniously on Thursday night amid a spiritually charged atmosphere with Vedic chants.

This ancient and historically significant temple is also known as "Ekasilanagaram," as the divine idols of Sri Sita, Rama, and Lakshmana are carved from a single stone.

The temple is beautifully decked up in a devotional ambiance for the Brahmotsavams scheduled from March 26 to April 5.

The rituals commenced on Thursday morning with Suprabhata Seva, awakening the Lord, followed by Tirumanjanam to the presiding and associated deities.
