Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh), Sept. 28 -- Anakapalli district police have arrested 199 persons in 72 narcotics cases registered this year and seized 2,856.573 kg of ganja, 26.06 kg of hashish oil and 80 vehicles, police said on Monday.
The seizures were recorded up to September 27 as part of the district police's drive against narcotics trafficking.
During August, police registered five cases, arrested 14 persons and seized 76.48 kg of ganja and 14.7 kg of hashish oil.
In September, four cases were registered, nine persons were arrested, and 614.5 kg of ganja, 2.22 kg of hashish oil and four vehicles were seized.
