Vijayawada, March 30 -- To further strengthen the public health system in the Andhra Pradesh, based on technology, an AI-based Disease Modelling and Decision Centre (DMDC) will be set up at NTR University of Health Sciences, said Dr. M. Lakshmi Suryaprabha, Director of Research and Development of the NTR Health University, today.

"With the help of Gates Foundation through strategic partnership and AI, this centre will work to ensure early detection, prevention and immediate action of diseases in the state. The first year will cost up to Rs. 5.73 crore. After that, Rs. 3.7 crore will be spent every year," she announced at a press conference here.
